Raise Your Vibration by Unlocking the Power of Summer

It is the middle of August and in the northern hemisphere, summer is still in full bloom. It’s the perfect time to use the power of the sun to raise your vibration and feel some positive energy flowing into your life. Here is how:

 A great way to start is to look at what you surround yourself with. It can have a huge impact on your energy. If it nourishes you or drains you. Check who you are spending your time with, where you’re passing your days, and what you’re consuming, especially social media. Is there anything you can change? Are there people you would like to spend more time with because they have a positive influence? Are there people you could take a break from? Is it time to be outside more? Can you put a pause on social media, news, and TV consumption? Some good vibe summer music can help raise your energy. 

Ask yourself how are you nourishing your body. In summer we have an abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables. Check what’s in season in your region and start your day with a cool smoothie. Make yourself delicious summer salads and eat intentionally. Feel how the food you consume gives you the energy to move through your day. Have a barbeque with friends outside, before you know it, it will be too cold to do so 

Spend time in nature and soak up the summer sun. Go bathe in a lake. Hike up a mountain. Explore the season. What does the earth look like these days? Are the trees green and the flowers colorful? Have the rivers dried up? Is the land dry? Can you spot the first leaves falling? Be present and notice when you are outside. Close your eyes, take some deep breaths, and immerse yourself in our natural world.

Changing your mindset can have a huge impact on your energy. Start your day with positive thoughts. Write down all the good that comes to mind first thing in the morning and right before you go to bed. Doing this for a few days will change your perspective. Connect it to summer by writing or thinking about what you love most about this season. 

Movement makes our bodies and our minds happy if we do what is in tune with how we are feeling. Summer is the perfect time to exercise outside. Maybe yoga is what your body is craving, a run, or maybe you can find a high-intensity workout offered locally in the great outdoors. Meeting friends at a local calisthenics park to play around for a bit can also be a great way to combine some social time with movement. Make sure to do what’s right for you. 

Show gratitude and compassion. The seasons are ever-changing and undoubtedly we can find ourselves complaining about the weather. It’s too hot, too rainy, too cold. Take some time to appreciate what summer has in store for you. Heat, thunderstorms, summer rain. Embrace it as it comes and find ways to enjoy it.
